Appear TV, a global provider of nextgeneration head-ends for broadcast and IP television, and AMT Group, a leading Russian systems integrator, today announced the successful deployment of Appear TV’s DC1000 decoder with RF modulation as part of Mostelecom’s roll-out of hybrid cable/IP network. Mostelecom, Russia’s largest cable TV operator with over 3 million subscribers, has deployed the DC1000 throughout Moscow and represents the largest deployment of Appear TV solutions in Russia. Appear TV’s high density solution has increased the number of broadcast television and FM radio services to subscribers, whilst the high performance specification delivers a clearer, stronger signal, presenting a visibly superior picture and audibly superior sound quality.

Appear TV Bunkers Down in Switzerland

At the opening of Swiss Cable Congress in Bern, Switzerland, Appear TV, a global provider of next-generation head-ends for broadcast and IP television, and Adrenio, a leading Swiss systems integrator, today announced the successful deployment of Appear TV’s DC1000 decoder with RF modulation at the GIB-Solutions data centre, Zurich. GIB-Solutions provides a wide range of data, telephony, radio and television services to partner and community networks throughout the Zurich region and the rest of Switzerland, serving more than 35,000 subscribers. GIB-Solutions data centre is one of the most advanced and secure in Europe, built in premises that were once one of Switzerland’s largest army bunkers of the Cold War era. GIB Solutions has renovated the former bunker, and the data centre now claims to rank as one of the world’s best in terms of security and reliability. The centre also boasts an innovative, energy efficient design, in which heat extracted from the data center is used to warm up the nearby swimming pool.
