An advanced architecture combined with powerful management tools makes head-ends easy to deploy and simple to operate. All products offer complete flexibility in choices of input, compression, scrambling, and output modules; as well as powerful service configuration features and compatibility with third party equipment.

With the use of a unique redundancy feature, network performance can be optimized to ensure unparalleled service availability including redundancy and load sharing between head-ends, as well as back up between units located at the same site.

Playout
Appear TV offers the most complete, flexible and scalable playout solutions. Our head-ends can receive signals from a variety of sources including satellite (DVB-S/S2/S2X), terrestrial (DVB-T/T2), cable (QAM), IP networks, or local ASI and HD/SD-SDI feeds. Signals are then descrambled and processed before being fed to high capacity streaming output (IP, ASI) modules.

For IPTV operators looking to broaden their content strategies, Appear TV’s powerful scrambling solution enables encryption (CSA and AES scrambling) and streaming of both live content as well as content from VOD/nPVR servers. The streaming solutions support MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 for HD and SD services and can be easily integrated with Appear TV's UNIVERSAL compression suite, including multiscreen encoding/transcoding for OTT.

Digital Simulcast
Appear TV offers the most powerful solution for a single IP-based network, capable of servicing both digital and analogue customers. Appear TV solutions are an effective tool for market penetration and expansion strategies.

At the edge, Appear TV equipment allows fiber operators to service local cable networks with analogue TV and radio signals by decoding, modulating and upconverting the content available on the core network in a single unit. In this way fiber operators can offer a complete TV solution of both analogue and digital TV and radio signals to existing or new cable dependent communities or households.
